The psychological thriller You is returning for its fifth and final season, with Netflix releasing the official trailer along with the premiere date. Fans can expect the final chapter of Joe Goldberg’s dark and twisted journey to unfold starting April 24.

Penn Badgley once again reprises his role as the dangerously obsessive Joe, who finds himself back in New York in hopes to leave his violent past behind. However, trouble follows him once again as old secrets resurface, putting his “fresh start” in jeopardy.

New Faces, New Threats

This season introduces fresh characters who play key roles in Joe’s life. Madeline Brewer joins as Bronte, a playwright whose presence becomes significant, while Anna Camp takes on the role of Kate’s twin sisters, Raegan and Maddie Lockwood, who threaten Joe’s relationship with Kate.

Like previous seasons, the final installment will dive into themes of power, manipulation, and obsession. With Joe’s past catching up to him, the stakes are higher than ever.

The End Of A Saga

You is based on Caroline Kepnes’ books and was developed by Greg Berlanti and Sera Gamble. The series first aired in 2018 and quickly became a fan favorite due to its intense storytelling and shocking twists.

The last season saw Joe living in London under a new identity as Jonathan Moore, only to become entangled in another dangerous love story with Kate, an art gallery director. Now, with his return to New York, the final season promises to bring a dramatic conclusion to his chaotic journey.

The upcoming season will see Michael Foley and Justin Lo stepping in as showrunners, while Sera Gamble remains as an executive producer.

All four previous seasons of You are currently streaming on Netflix, with the final season set to arrive on April 24.
