KUALA LUMPUR, March 20 – KL Wellness City (KLWC) is celebrating Hari Raya in a vibrant and heartfelt way this year with the release of its first-ever festive song and music video. Featuring a lively melody, meaningful lyrics, and a spirited collaboration between KLWC staff and two young artists, the project reflects the company’s commitment to fostering unity and joy within the community.

Bringing KLWC Raya Song to Life

“This is the first Raya song produced by KL Wellness City,” shared Dato’ Sri Dr. Vincent Tiew, KLWC’s Branding, Sales, and Marketing Director. “We truly gave our 100% effort, focus, and commitment to creating this festive song. It aligns with KL Wellness City’s aspirations and values.”

The initiative stemmed from KLWC’s diverse workforce, with 40% of its staff being Malay. “We saw this as a great opportunity to bond, sing, and dance together. It was more than just making a song—it was about togetherness,” Dato’ Vincent explained.

One of the standout elements of the song is that KLWC itself is mentioned in the lyrics. “We loved the song from the first time we heard it, and knowing that it highlights KL Wellness City makes it even more special,” he added.

Amad and Puteri on their Raya Collaboration

The song features two rising talents, Amad Fadlin and Puteri Addina, whose youthful energy brings a fresh sound to the track.

“When we first got the offer, we couldn’t believe we would be singing for such a huge corporate group,” Amad shared. “This was something different from my usual projects, but it was exciting. Plus, collaborating with Dato’ Vincent was a surprise!”

Puteri, who was brought in later to add a female vocalist to the song, recalled how quickly everything came together. “I got the call from the composer, and in just one night, we managed to study the song and record it. The entire process was smooth, and I loved how our vocals complemented each other,” she said.

Dato’ Vincent himself also contributed to the vocals, singing a few lines in the track. “It was a new challenge for me because I’m not a singer,” he admitted. “But I enjoyed it so much that I felt like calling the studio to re-record my part every time to make sure I did my best!”

His participation brought an unexpected but welcomed diversity into the song. “It was entertaining because you could clearly hear one Chinese voice standing out in the song,” Amad said with a laugh. “But that’s what made it genuine—the cultural integration.”

KLWC Raya Dance Challenge

To further spread the festive cheer, KLWC has launched a dance challenge where participants can showcase their moves to the song’s catchy chorus. “Participants just need to create a 20-second dance video, post it on Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok, and alert us in the comments,” Dato’ Vincent explained.

The challenge runs until April 16, with 10 winners to be selected. However, only three lucky participants will take home the grand prize— an iPhone 16.

The music video, shot in just one day at the KLWC Sales Gallery, captures the joy and bond of the festive season. “We curated the storyboard multiple times to find the perfect theme,” Dato’ Vincent revealed. He also emphasized that the project wasn’t seen as a company expense but as a long-term asset.

Since its release, the song has received positive feedback for its catchy and addictive melody. “We wanted to make sure the dance moves from our music videos become a tradition,” Dato’ Vincent shared. “Something that continues on every year.”

Will KLWC have it’s own Corporate Song?

When asked whether KLWC would release an official corporate anthem, Dato’ Vincent explained that the timing had to be right.

“We will do it, but not yet,” he said. “It’s similar to why we built KL Wellness City before officially launching it in 2024. “We want to showcase our progress first, rather than sing about something that hasn’t been fully accomplished yet.”

KLWC remains focused on completing its first and second buildings before launching an official corporate song, ensuring that when the time comes, it will truly represent the city’s achievements.

As KLWC continues to grow, this Raya music video serves as a testament to its vision of unity, wellness, and community spirit—one festive song at a time.
