KUALA LUMPUR, March 24 – Sensational celebrity couple Farid Kamil and Diana Danielle confirmed their second divorce after almost two years of reconciliation. The marriage ended once again at the Federal Territory Syariah Lower Court earlier today.
Diana’s syariah law representative Datuk Akberdin Abdul Kader clarified to the media that the couple had reached a firm decision in finalising their divorce, and it was a mutual consensus.
According to their lawyer, Farid has divorced Diana with one talak, marking their second divorce overall.
“Praise be to God, we have settled this peacefully.” Both Farid and Diana left the courtroom side by side, marking the conclusion of the case.
The court did not present the Conciliation Committee (JKP) report, as it became irrelevant once both parties agreed to divorce amicably. According to Akberdin, the judge proceeded directly with their mutual application for separation.
The couple’s legal journey began on November 4 last year when Diana sought reconciliation. However, she later refiled for divorce. In December, the court directed both parties to appoint JKP representatives after Farid initially refused to pronounce the divorce.
By January 21, Farid had officially appointed his syariah lawyer, Fakhrul Azman Abu Hassan, to represent him in the process.
This is not the first time the couple has parted ways. They previously divorced on August 10, 2023, through an online hearing via Google Meet. During the iddah period, they chose to reconcile and publicly confirmed their reunion in an interview with a local media outlet.
Farid and Diana were married on November 3, 2012, and their 13 year union produced two beautiful children – Muhammad, 12, and Nur Aurora, 10.
With this second divorce finalized, the couple has officially ended their marriage once again.
