“Remarkable Shandong” Expo 2025 debuts in KL, boosts China–Malaysia agri trade
KUALA LUMPUR, 24/09/2025 — The ‘Remarkable Shandong’ Expo 2025 has made its debut in KL marking a significant development in the agricultural trade relationship between China and Malaysia. The event aims to foster deeper collaboration in trade, technology, and sustainable farming practices.
Expo Debut in Kuala Lumpur
Shandong, China’s leading agricultural province, has launched its ‘Remarkable Shandong’ brand in Malaysia, showcasing top enterprises and premium agricultural products from 16 cities at the ‘Remarkable Shandong’ Agricultural Trade (Malaysia) Expo 2025. Held at the Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, the event attracted government agencies, trade associations, and buyers from across Southeast Asia.
Strengthening Bilateral Agricultural Cooperation
The Expo supports Malaysia’s priorities in food security, diversified imports, and technology exchange, positioning itself as a platform for mutual growth. Mr. Liu Chengxu, Second-Level Inspector of the Shandong Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, stated, ‘This Expo is a platform for exchange, innovation, and friendship, and will further deepen collaboration in trade, technology, and sustainable farming for mutual benefit.’
Key Agreements and Collaborations
Several agreements were inked at the ceremony to strengthen supply chains and drive innovation. Notable signings included partnerships between Goldage Harvest Sdn Bhd and Tengzhou Jiahe Grain and Oil Co., Ltd., and between BS Pet Products Sdn Bhd and Shandong Huiju Pet Food Co., Ltd. These collaborations aim to expand cooperation into niche sectors such as grain and oil, pet food, and agri-tech.

The Expo highlights Malaysia’s strategic position in ASEAN, channeling Shandong’s premium products into the region and creating new opportunities for local businesses. Future editions are planned across Malaysia and other ASEAN countries, reinforcing the platform’s role in enhancing food security, innovation, and sustainability.
