Taylor Swift To Perform In Shanghai, Fans Keep High Hopes
January 15, 2025 — Rumors of a possible Taylor Swift show in Shanghai, China has sparked a glimmer of hope in her Chinese fanbase as China was not one of her concert stops for the latest Eras Tour.
Chinese media outlet The Paper reports, Shanghai officials has held early discussions with the worldwide popstar’s team last Tuesday, in hopes to have her perform at the global financial hub. However, Swift’s publicist did not immediately comment on the topic.
“We are unsure of whether it will take place in the end, as it might depend on the market needs and the attractiveness of Shanghai city, but we are optimistic that there will be hopes this year,” said Zhang Qi, the Dept. Director of Shanghai’s Tourism and Bureau.
